A unique series of events led John through the doors of Arbor Place. John had never intended to move to the area, but wanted a new start. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as he’d expected and substance use took over his life and plans.
John soon found himself in treatment at Arbor Place, and it has made all the difference. He quickly found the support he needed to confront his substance use and stop it for good. Now, he’s an advocate for sobriety, surrounded by a positive support system, including his son.
Prior to discovering Arbor Place, Loree struggled with drug and alcohol use. These struggles led to challenges within her marriage and family, affecting her husband, kids, friends, and more.
As Loree progressed through her treatment, and even following treatment, she noted potential triggers for her drug and alcohol use. With the help of Arbor Place, she has been able to overcome each trigger and challenge, remaining clean and even serving as a current board member at Arbor Place. Learn more about Loree's story here.
Mike's journey with substance use started in high school, but was propelled deeper following the traumatic loss of his father, leading to a slew of setbacks.
Later, Mike had a moment of realization, recognizing his neglect of his responsibilities as a father himself. This moment sparked the decision to enter detox, with the ultimate goal of discovering healing and lasting change.
Following an introduction to alcohol at age 12, Ashley's drinking soon increased after experiencing sexual assault.
As her drinking escalated in adulthood, a series of events, including a DWI and losing custody of her son, drove her deeper into despair. However, a moment of clarity prompted Ashley to seek help. Now, she has restored relationships in her life and showcases the possibility of redemption and healing after addiction.
As she navigated her teenage years, Erika became involved with older individuals and substance use, which spiraled out of control. A pivotal moment occurred when she discovered she was pregnant, prompting a temporary shift in her life towards sobriety and academic success. However, this stability is short-lived as she reconnects with a childhood friend who introduces her back to drugs.

After an arrest that brought her to the brink of losing everything, she sought help at Arbor Place. Here, she found community support and a nurturing environment that sparked her desire for recovery. Now, Stephanie is a proud mother and wife, and is a testament to the power of resilience and determination.
