WHY SHE DOES THIS WORK

I wanted to enter the field of healthcare. What started as a part-time job while I was in school, turned into my career and passion. I noticed how dedicated my coworkers were to this work, which was inspiring. What continues to keep me here is the ongoing reminders of the positive changes, second chances, and opportunities we provide. Sometimes, Arbor Place is the only safe and supportive place for someone in need. As much as I love celebrating success stories, I also celebrate the clients who return to us when they need that safety and support again. I appreciate that every person I work with has a different story and is on a different path. Watching progress from phone calls, to the first day in treatment, to discharge, is so rewarding for me.

WHO SHE WORKS BEST WITH

I believe part of my purpose and passion is to help those in crisis. In admissions, I have worked with so many individuals experiencing hopelessness due to their situation, maybe due to substance use, relationship stress, legal problems, or mental health challenges. Providing someone with a safe space- whether over the phone or in person- to provide them with empathy, compassion, and support, is so important to me. I value that I am one of the first contacts for someone seeking residential treatment and how I am representing our program.

BEFORE YOU REACH OUT

Reaching out does not equal having to commit to residential treatment!
I want to help you, give you options, and help you feel comfortable.
Reaching out for help can be scary enough; I want to provide encouragement, support, and safety to help you begin recovery. I respect and honor diversity — your story matters to me, and not one size will fit all! I would love to learn of your story and provide you information and support on how Arbor Place can help you, including substance use, mental health, housing, funding, or family stress.

OUTSIDE OF ARBOR PLACE

I love music, spending time with my dog Nova, being active, and watching reality TV!
